Ziporyn pays tribute to the late David Bowie by transforming his final album, Blackstar, into a cello concerto for acclaimed virtuoso cellist Maya Beiser, backed by Ziporyn's own Ambient Orchestra.  The project originated at MIT in 2017, co-sponsored by MTA & the Center for Art, Science & Technology - it has since traveled across the US, to Europe & Australia. The album was released to critical acclaim on the anniversary of Bowie's death, and is available on vinyl, CD and digital download from Islandia Music. More information and listen to it now
