Mark Harvey named "Jazz Hero"

Mark Harvey, MIT Music and Theater Arts Lecturer, minister, trumpeter, and founding director of the Aardvark Jazz Orchestra, was named a --Jazz Hero-- by the Jazz Journalist Association in advance of Jazz Appreciation Month and the International Jazz Day.  Jazz Heroes are educators, presenters, producers, artists, and enablers from around the country who are recognized as activists, advocates, altruists, aiders and abettors of jazz.  MORE
