Mark Harvey Receives Boston Jazz Hero Award

JazzBoston will co-host a party with Wally’s Café to honor Mark Harvey, the recipient of the Jazz Journalists Association’s (JJA) 2015 Boston Jazz Hero award.  Dr. Harvey is a minister, musician, educator, and community builder.  His Aardvark Jazz Orchestra (42nd season) is one of the longest running large jazz ensembles in the world.

Ken Urban Wins 2024 Blue Ink Award

As part of the award, Urban receives a $3,000 cash prize, a staged reading directed by Artistic Affiliate Dexter Bullard at American Blues Theater, and the opportunity to further develop his script with our artists.
